Let’s meet and talk at Laser World of Photonics
We were thrilled to meet with you again at the World’s leading trade fair for components, systems and applications of photonics at Laser World of Photonics 2022 in Munich (Messe München, April 26-29).
We hope you appreciated the presentation of our range of specialty fibers, modulations solutions, free-space optics components and laser systems, with a focus on :
High performance solutions for quantum applications
We held mini-conferences every day of the show around lunch time. Please find below the detailed programme, and download the different presentations (PDF) at the bottom of the page:
PROGRAMME
Tuesday 26 April – iXblue Space Grade Solutions
12:30 – Free space optical assembly technology.
Speaker : Aurélien Boutin (R&D Manager)
Paving the way to optical solutions for extreme environment.
13:30 – Space grade solutions: from components to transceivers.
Speaker : Clément Guyot (Space Products Line Manager)
iXblue strategy and roadmap related to the photonic components being deployed for high-speed space communication.
Wednesday 27 April – Fibers and LiNbO3 modulators for high energy and high power lasers
12:30 – Thulium and Holmium doped fibers and matching components for 2 µm fiber lasers.
Speaker : Benoit Cadier (Fibre Division General Manager)
We review 2µm fiber lasers applications and associated iXblue extensive 2 µm fibers and FBG Laser mirrors portfolio. Latest high power results obtained are presented as well as power scaling perspectives.
13:00 – High Power CW laser: key improvements on Near Infra-Red Phase modulators for Stimulated Brillouin Scattering suppression.
Speaker : Nicolas Grossard (Modulators Products Line Manager)
A cutting edge NIR phase modulator is introduced: a 30 GHz of electro-optical bandwidth, with very low Vp, with a temperature insensitivity, and a high optical power handling capability.
Thursday 28 April – Solution from iXblue Quantum sensors division
12:30 – Detecting volcano eruptions with a cold-atom quantum gravimeter on the summit of Mount Etna.
Speaker : Jean Lautier-Gaud (iXblue Quantum Sensors sales Director)
Since summer 2020, a Quantum Gravimeter relying on high-precision measurements with laser-cooled atoms is running on one the most active volcanos on Earth. Despite challenging operating conditions at 2800 m of altitude, the cold-atom sensor provides high-quality data to geophysicists in order to better monitor the displacement of magma within Mt Etna. Come discover this breakthrough and learn how iXblue Photonics solution support such pioneering work. This work is part of the FET-open project Newton-g funded by the European Commission.
13:00 – Frequency stabilized Laser for the ground tests of Laser Interferometer Space Antenna, LISA.
Speaker Alexis Mehlman (PhD student)
Toward industrial, compact and reliable optical clock for space instrumentation.
13:30 – How iXblue’s Intelligent Laser Systems serve Quantum Technologies all over the TRL ladder.
Speaker : Jean Lautier-Gaud (iXblue Quantum Sensors sales Director)
Laser-cooled neutral atoms are probably the most mature way to implement Quantum Technologies for Quantum Sensing, Quantum Communication and Quantum Computing. One of the main reasons that makes today atom laser-cooling so straightforward lies in the ability to rely on fully integrated turn-key laser systems. As iXblue provides the Intelligent Laser System series, come and learn how you can benefit from this technology leap and how iXblue has tremendously improved their performances while remarkably decreasing their Size Weight, Power and Costs requirements.
Friday 29 April – Low line width laser seeder. High energy optical pulse shaped seeder
12:30 – Narrow Linewidth lasers, from DFB to turn-key benchtop solution.
Speaker : Emmanuel Pinsard (Fiber Bragg Grating Product Line Manager)
Fiber Bragg Grating inscription on doped fibers makes excellent DFB, exhibiting narrow linewidth, low phase noise and good stability. Mastering both FBGs and fibers design, iXblue offers DFB in 1.5 µm and 2 µm area, ideal continuous laser seeders for a variety of applications ranging from cold atoms to sensing. A compact turn-key benchtop solution housing the 1.5µm DFB with 40 mW output power is released at the show.
13:00 – High Energy Laser: latest improvements on the ModBox-FrontEnd seeder laser for generating temporally shaped optical pulses.
Speaker : Alexandre Soujaeff (Project Manager)
The ModBox-FrontEnd is an agile solution for generating temporally shaped optical pulses. We introduce the ModBox-FE latest performances, a 60 dB optical pulse contrast ratio and 10 µJ of energy per nanosecond.
