Single Mode Fibers
Single Mode & Multimode Fibers
Overview
iXblue offers single mode fibers for operation between 375 nm and 1650 nm available with NA between 0.12 and 0.37. High-NAs fibers provide exceptional robustness against bending-loss and are also commonly used for FBG inscription thanks to their improved photosensitivity without hydrogenation.
UV-Vis fibers have a pure silica core for improved resistance against solarization, fibers operating above 550 nm have a Ge-doped core. Singlemode pure silica core fibers operating also in the NIR are available and listed in the Harsh environment section.
Fibers with a Ø80 µm cladding diameter provide a reduced footprint together with an improved mechanical reliability under bending. Fibers can be coated with standard, high temperature acrylate or polyimide.
